Bryant Research Insight Piece
This insight explores the unique contribution of loud activism to the animal advocacy movement. Loud activism (i.e., confrontational public demonstrations) plays a key role in raising awareness and prompting people to reconsider their views. Quiet activism (i.e., charity work or personal conversations) is often more widely embraced and helps move individuals toward action. Both types complement each other, with loud activism helping to shift people into contemplation, while quiet activism helps them transition into action. Both approaches are essential for the movement's success.

ACE Literature Review
This literature review assesses the effectiveness of social media campaigns and online advertisements. Both raise awareness about animal welfare and promote behavior changes, like adopting plant-based diets, through tactics like targeted ads and content sharing. Examples include #vegan and initiatives like Meatless Monday. While these campaigns can foster empathy and support legislation, they may have limited impact on large-scale behavior change, especially regarding entrenched habits. They are most effective for those already open to change and should be used alongside other strategies.
